Get Molecular Testing - Quebec 

As of May 1, 2024, Optilab MUHC - Glen now offers the fusion-partner agnostic NGS test including known and unknown FGFR2 fusion partners for all Quebec patients living with cholangiocarcinoma. All hospitals in Quebec can now send their cholangiocarcinoma samples to the MUHC laboratory using the Optilab’s Test Requisition Form.

Important Information:

  • Please check off these boxes on the form:

    • Cholangiocarcinoma

    • Target RNAseq​

Testing requirements

  • Tumour cellularity > 20%

  • Minimum of 30 mg Frozen Tissue on dry ice (preferred)  OR 

  • Minimum of 10 scrolls (ideally 25) at 10uM ​

  • **Cellular brushings have not been validated in our process and will not be accepted as they often do not have the required minimum cellular and RNA quantity to pass our quality control standards
