Dr. Loiselle holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Loiselle is Professor in the Department of Oncology and the Ingram School of Nursing at McGill University. She is also Co-Director (Academic) of the Segal Cancer Centre and recipient of the Christine and Herschel Victor/Hope & Cope Research Chair in Psychosocial Oncology (2011 – 2026). For over 12 years, Dr. Loiselle led a CIHR Strategic Training Initiative in Health Research - Psychosocial Oncology Research Training (PORT) - that linked accomplished researchers from 6 Canadian universities with 65 fellows. In 2020, Dr. Loiselle became the Principal Investigator of a Health Canada-funded initiative to address language training and retention of healthcare and social service pro-viders (https://www.mcgill.ca/dialoguemcgill/) and support the development of cutting edge knowledge pertaining to language minorities and access to health and social services. Dr. Loiselle is an Elected Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Elected Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing, and Presi-dent of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology. Dr. Loiselle’s research focuses on the unmet needs of individuals affected by cancer across the illness trajectory and innovative means to address these needs including digital health technologies.
